3 Island Boat Trip, Tapas, Sandbar Swim
Today we were picked up at 7:30am to go to the port. Here we joined a boat tour group to go island hopping.
Our first stop was a very busy tourist island. We didn’t like it here very much so just floated in the sea. Robin made friends with a hermit crab she named Jerry. Jerry ended up pinching her so she let him go.
The next island was ‘naked island’. This was just sand with nice swimming around the island so once again we just hung out in the water.
Our lunch stop was on a huge island. Lunch was a ‘boodle fight’. During war times any banned or regulated food was nicknamed ‘boodle’. A boodle fight is a table of contraband food and you race to pick the bits you want.
Our table was designed to spell out Siargao which was pretty cool. We had prawns, tuna, chicken, pork, fruit, and grilled veges.
Before going back to the port we had a bonus secret stop of a sandbar. As it was low tide we could swim in the crystal blue water and jump from the boat. This wind the award for the most blue water we have been in so far.
For dinner we went to a tapas restaurant for date night. We had an eggplant dish cooked in garlic and vinegar sauce, prawns in garlic and chili, fish tacos, spicy pork carnitas, and bread to dip. On the way back we grabbed a frozen yogurt.
