We arrived in Siquijor and checked into our hostel. It was great with clean rooms, great showers, good wifi, and AC. There was also a restaurant on site. We went out for dinner and had seared tuna and sizzling prawns with garlic rice.

The next day we had planned to go waterfall exploring and beach relaxing. However, I woke up with itchy bites on my arms and legs. They were in clusters zig zagging and in a line down my body. Fearing the backpackers worst nightmare I went to the pharmacy.

After 2 doctors had a look, they confirmed, it was bed bugs.

We returned to the hostel and had a private chat with the staff in reception. They were really kind and swapped out the mattress straight away. With me and my stuff being already contaminated (I slept with the clothes sacks at the end of the bed and my day back due to electronics), we chose to leave and find a hotel so I could wash everything and void spreading the bugs.

We found one a 25min drive away. I bagged up my clothes and dropped them and my bag off at a laundry place, making them aware of the situation.

We checked into our hotel and found some food. Snenny the snake and Rexi the dragon had a bath as well as my compression sacks.

After food we picked up my laundry and packed it away. By now it was the evening.

Hopefully we get to explore tomorrow.
