Koh Tao, Smash Ball, Market

Today we left the comfort of our hotel and boarded the ferry to Koh Tao. I spooked myself by reading about all the Koh Tao disappearances and strange deaths on the way there. The ferry was rough and Robin slept 3/4 of the way. Being in the middle seat, I found it harder hence the reading on Koh Tao.

We arrived at our hostel and became aquatinted with the people and the bar. I sourced us a bike and we sped of for dinner at a local rated place. We had massaman curry, Tom Kha Kai, and a papaya salad. For dessert we went 7/11 for a melt in the middle chocolate lava cake.

On returning to the hostel we played a game of smash ball which consisted of the white and black pool ball. The aim was to not let the black ball stop moving or to hit the black ball into a pocket. The white ball was to be picked up and shot at the black ball to either propel it to keep it rolling or to slam it into a pocket. 3 loves per round. You lost if the black ball stopped rolling before you hit it with the white ball or if the person before you hit the black ball into a socket. It was a lot of fun.

After some chatting and planning the next day we were off to bed.
