Travel to Pai, Dinner, 7-11

Another boring travel day. We started with a workout in the hostel gym, then we got brekkie. We were meant to leave at 1:30pm but the guy at the hostel forgot to book us so we left at 2:30 instead. The journey was uneventful despite everyone warning us about the uncomfortable conditions of the ride. It was twisty and turny but not unmanageable. Then again, on a hangover like most people would be having, would be a different story.

We arrived in Pai to a hippy almost beach vibe town even though we are in the heart of the north of Thailand away from any coasts. Lots of little independent clothes shops enshroud the walking street where ve fours set up food stalls come nightfall. We checked in and met two English girls, Ella and Amy. We went for dinner separately to a place called Na’s kitchen which was very good. The food in the north is a lot better than the southern islands.

We then met up with the girls and went to a bar and introduced them to Smashball- a new favorite. We even had others from the bar playing with us.

Off to bed for we have a big day exploring Pai tomorrow.
