Moalboal, Sardine Run, Turtles

Yesterday was grueling travel day. We first had to bike ourselves and our bags on one motorbike back to our original bed bug hostel to return the bike. It was a 30 minute journey driving slowly due to the windy weather catching the bike and pushing us around.

Next we got a tuk tuk from the hostel to the pier. We then had a 4 hour slow ferry to the port of Bato. Then a 3 hour bus.

Arriving in moalboal we grabbed food and went to bed.

The next day we went snorkeling at the beach. This spot if famous for the sardine run. All year round sardines swim just off the shallow section in huge shoals of thousands of fish. They shimmered in the sunlight and looped around us as they swam.

We also saw some turtles in the shallow section grazing on the algae. They were medium in size and mesmerizing.

I decided to take a risk and buy a plastic bag for my phone and attempt some photos and videos of the marine life. Some turned out okay!

In the afternoon Robin had a massage and I had a rest. We went out for Greek food and got tucked up in bed early. We start our day tomorrow at 2:30am for whale shark watching!
