Kampot, Hotel, Bumpy Roads

Today we got up early to travel to Kampot; a province on the coast of Cambodia. It is famous for its crab and general seafood, but especially its crab.

The journey was short but uncomfortable. The speed boat was fine but then we got a leaky minibus. Cambodia is just coming out of it’s rainy season meaning we are still getting a few sudden downpours. Thinking we were safe inside the bus, we rested and tried to sleep. However, I began to feel drips hitting my shoulder. The minibus was leaking water from the roof all over us.

Once we arrived in Kampot we got picked up by a tuk tuk. A common theme whilst traveling, we had tripped and fallen into another hotel. This time it was a present from my mum for my birthday. The hotel is far from the city, a nice break from the party vibes of Koh Rong.

We had some lunch and rested all afternoon. Robin has a fun day planned tomorrow for me.
