Hanoi, Shopping, Train Street
Feeling a little under the weather this morning presumably from a freezing weather induced cold from the cruise. We had a slower start meeting Chris and Sarina at the note coffee shop. We wrote little notes to stick onto the walls and tables before trying to find the note Meg and Mia left for us over a month ago. People were sat in the spot so unfortunately we did not manage to find it.
After fueling with brunch at another coffee shop we began our shopping. We all had lists of goodies to find for our friends and families. We explored over a dozen shops searching for fleeces, jackets, bags, shoes, and any other clothing we still needed for the weather of the Ha Giang Loop.
We had a pit stop at a coffee shop before going back to our accommodation and packing for the loop.
Dinner was pho as per. Next we chose to end our stint with Sarina and Chris at train street. As soon as we got there we saw a one carriage train rumble sadly through the bars and cafes. Unsatisfied we chose to sit and wait for the next train. This did not disappoint and we watched as a 12 carriage train raced past.
Unfortunately this announced the end of our traveling with Sarina and Chris. We said sad goodbyes. It has been so lovely to travel with people we knew and to be able to chat away for hours with no awkward pauses or lack of conversation. They will be missed. Now this sounds like an obituary oh no. We agreed to keep an eye out if our travels overlap again and to stay more in touch which will be nice.
Early bed as we begin our Ha Giang Loop experience tomorrow!
