Ha Giang 4, Hotel, Travel to Manila

Day 4 on the loop was the hardest driving so far. At points the road disappeared and gave way to huge rocks and boulders wedged in sand and dried mud. It was the bumpiest driving for poor Robin who had to hold on white knuckled on the back as she bounced around. It was a slower drive day with only 10/15km/h on the bad roads.

We enjoyed our last drive back to the hostel and celebrated with a ‘finisher’ t shirt each. We then had to wait 5 hours until our bus back.

The bus to Hanoi was fast getting us in at 2:30am. The hotel Vick had arranged for us was a huge blessing and we are very thankful. We got to shower and tuck ourselves into a huge clean bed.

The next day we finished our fake shopping and posted the goodies home. We grabbed an Indian takeaway to say goodbye to Vietnam.

We got up at 5am to head to the airport. Everything was on time and we flew to Manila. First impressions is that it is not a very friendly or safe city. We did our washing at the hostel and re packed our bags. We ate at the hostel and have an early flight tomorrow. Not much to do in Manila.
