ATV Off-road Adventure, Skyline Luge, Raw Chicken

We were up early today to head to the Kuala Lumpur ATV adventure park. Having driven off road in Bali, Robin and I felt like pros going into the experience. We arrived 45 minutes out from the city to a location with no cell service. The place had 5 cats which Robin promptly began to entertain; Gina visited the sleeping dogs, and I set about paying and filling out waivers.

After we signed our life away we got to practice for 5 minutes on a small circuit around the registration building. This is when Robin decided that this ATV was out of her depth and chose to ride with the instructor who spoke little English. He knew ‘having fun? Scared? No stress? Hard bit now! Shower time (waterfall)!’.

Gina and I were great drivers, only popping a few wheelies on the really steep inclines. We all got stuck multiple times with mine even tipping sideways onto two wheels and wedging into a ditch. Our English impaired guide always game to the rescue with ‘scared? No? good, no stress’.

We spent 3 hours zooming through the jungle going up and down and over huge obstacles. It was great fun. We also got to chill out in two waterfalls on the way which was refreshing. On our way out we spotted a framed photo of Owen Wilson at the adventure park from 2005!

After this we were starving and went for a fancy brunch nearby our residence. I ended being served raw chicken twice even after sending it back! The manager was lovely and gave me a discount and two free pastries!

For our evening activity we arrange to go to the skyline luge. Luging involves a low down cart with a handle in the front that can be pulled to slow you done. On the way we stopped off for dinner at a ramen shop.

At the luge we received our helmets and took the ski lift up to the start. There were four tracks and we bought 4 rides so we had a go on them all.

Surprisingly you could go very fast on the tracks and zoom round corners at speed. Gina and I ended up on two wheels at points as we raced down.

At the end we purchased a video and two photos from our experience.
